How to post a before photo that gets people to come back
A before photo on its own is a cliffhanger: people want to see how it turned out. Posting the before at the start of a job and the after when it's done gives you two posts from one project, and the second one gets more attention because people were waiting for it.
The before template stamps a clear BEFORE label on your photo, adds your caption and ends with a "swipe for the after" line, so it works as a single post or as the first slide of a carousel.
How it works
- Shoot the beforeTake it on day one, from where you'll take the after, so the two match.
- Write a short captionSay what's wrong in plain words: "25-year-old shingles, two leaks."
- Add the townA location tells local customers you work near them.
- Post it, then post the afterUse the After or Before & After template when the job's done.
Tips
- Stand in the same spot for the before and the after. It makes the change obvious.
- Shoot in daylight, with the sun behind you.
- Don't show house numbers or anything that identifies the customer's home without asking.
Questions
Should I post the before and after separately or together?
Both work. Posting them separately gives you two posts and builds anticipation; the Before & After template puts both in one post with an animated reveal.
Is it really free?
Yes. Post images are free and unlimited, with no account. The animated Reel MP4 is free for 3 Reels a month: you enter your email so we can send you the file. Both carry a small “Made with Vizzmo” mark in the corner.
Do I need an account or an app?
No. The post maker runs in your browser, on a phone or a computer. Your business name, phone number, logo and color are saved in that browser, so the next post takes seconds.
What sizes do I get?
The post image downloads at 1080×1350 (4:5 portrait, the tallest size the Instagram feed shows) or 1080×1080 square for Facebook and Google Business Profile. The animated Reel is 1080×1920, ready for Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
